About this Event:

“After I Pick the Fruit”  will travel to the heart of Maine’s farmlands with a screening at the Railroad Square Cinema in Waterville, Maine. The screening is sponsored by the Maine Migrant Health Program.

Nancy Ghertner directs and produces both documentary and experimental films, recently documenting the lives of women farm workers as they migrate between Mexico and Haiti and farms in the US. She is active in human rights organizations in New York State, where she advocates for immigrant rights, farm worker justice, and women’s rights. Nancy is a ’71 graduate of Colby College, in Waterville, Maine.
