About this Event:

Several programs at Cornell University will present a screening of  the documentary After I Pick the Fruit, which takes primarily place in upstate New York. The film follows the lives of five migrant farm worker women as the travel between Florida and New York, and includes scenes from their home village in Mexico as well as border crossings in Texas. The film is presented by the following Cornell University programs: Cornell Farmworker Program, Committee on U.S.-Latin American Relations (CUSLAR), Latin American Studies Program, Latino Studies Program, Friends of Farmworkers, Immigrant Farmworker Initiative, Student Activities Finance Commission.

The screening will take place: Monday, April 15, 2013 at 7 PM. A discussion with questions and answers will follow the screening. The film’s director, Nancy Ghertner, will be present at this discussion. The location is: Goldwin Smith Hall G22, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY
