About this Event:

The documentary by a New York state film maker, Nancy Ghertner, will screen at the Keene Valley Public Library, in Keen Vallery, New York on November 18th at 7 PM. The film  follows the lives of five immigrant farmworker women over a ten-year period as they labor in the apple orchards and fields of rural western New York, migrate seasonally, and raise their families, and try to hide from the Bush and Obama-era immigration raids that were conducted in response to 9/11

The event is sponsored by the Central New York Chapter of the Civil Liberties Union, who will also lead the discussion following the screening. For more information please contact Karen Glass at the Keene Valley Library at: or call 518-576-4335.
