About this Event:
United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS) and Cornell University, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Communications will sponsor a presentation of selections from the documentary After I Pick the Fruit on March 2nd, 2014. The presentation will begin at 12:00 and will include video and a discussion with Q & A. The presentation will end at 1:00 PM. The film’s director, Nancy Ghertner, will discuss her research with the migrant population over ten years, and the part that advocacy plays in the lives of farm workers. She will also discuss the relationships between the farmers and their workers as well as her own role with the women farm workers.
